Six Sided Reds And Gold Sunray Design

Very pretty tin with a sunray design in gold on reds. Tight fitting lid, this tin originally held candy and has all the labels still on it. Size is about 7 3/4" tall, 4" across bottom and 5 1/2" across top. Condition is very good to excellent, some paint rub off on lid corners, body is beautiful, and a little roughness on base rim. This pretty tin is only a couple years old, clean and nice. Fill with treats or use as recyclable gift wrap.

Winter is upon us, and whether you live in Winter Park or Palm Springs, winter brings long evenings and longer school vacations. Begin preparing for some family time, and have some fun activities planned.

With holidays coming, it's always fun to try new recipes, so be sure the cookbooks are handy!

Or make some gifts to give. There are so many fun crafts to try!

A cool party idea is a bonfire and sing along!
Can't have a fire? It's alright, singing is still fun!

Games can help pass time, teach patience,
sportsmanship and fairness, and all the while
everyone just thinks it's for entertainment!

Puzzles have the same benefits of games without the competiveness. Keep some around for every age group!

Meatloaf

Meatloaf! Boring, huh.

How would you like to unbore your meatloaf? Here's the recipe:

Tie on an apron,

grind some meat, grate some onion.

Don't forget to season it well!

Mix it up in a mixing bowl, go ahead and use the big one, meatloaf is messy!

Shape it in a pretty baking dish, and put some beans in another.

Throw meatloaf, beans and some baking potatoes in the oven, then set the table.

The question always arises, what do I do with the leftover meatloaf?

A new website is open! Memories Superhighway. Where collectors and sellers collide! A hopping place and way more than stuffy china and dusty books (although they are there too!)

A quick tour around and you see lots of interesting places to pull off and investigate. New members should stop by the Tourist Center, where the very friendly rules are posted and a site tour as well. Tourists page is all our members, and Scrapbook is currently our photos and albums, but we are working on another concept for that.

Click the tab called Neighborhoods and you'll find some fun groups to join and plenty of places to show off your favorite collectibles, like Grandma's House, Handmade Highway, The Campground, Atomic Avenue and Music Mile to name only a couple, and anyone can start a group, the more the merrier. Most of the groups have a place for sellers to post, and a place for collectors to show off their collections!

Side Roads is the forum, with the usual discussions and other business. The Gazette is our blog, anyone can post, but no selling, must be informative or of interest to all.

BE SURE to visit the Route 66 page for some real distractions, and be prepared to share a story.

Market Mile is designed for online store owners to have a “shop” to post their online inventory, this is not an active store, only a showroom of your online inventory and you must have an online store. Individuals and ebayers can post in the classifieds in forum. And please post your for sale items in the proper places, we wanted seperate places for collectors to feel free to post their collectibles.

Glass grabs me. I don't know why but it is what stops me on the street when driving by a garage sale and twinkles at me in a thrift store. It is delicate, yet incredibly tough. We eat from it, drink from it, cook with it, look through and into it daily.

Perhaps it's the variety that appeals to me. I seem to be a sucker for vases!
