It started off innocently enough, these things usually do. I had posted the above photo album on a site I socialize on, nothing unusual, just trying to get a few links out there, that's all. First a little comment from a friend, then another, then ... well I'll just let you read it for yourself! (The album is titled "All My Animals")
Mybookbarn
It's such a zoo around here! ; )
THUNDERMOUNTAIN
You even included The Mouse
mybookbarn
What I wanna know is if she included the cat to catch that mouse!? LOL
midcentury
2 cats if you count pink panther
mybookbarn
The mouse must be pretty sneaky if you need 2 cats.
midcentury
oh the mouse is definitely sneaky, so I have 4 cats and a couple dogs!
mybookbarn
So you have the dogs to catch the cats & you have the cats to catch the mouse...Are you the old lady that swallowed a fly?
midcentury
Dang you got me, now I have to relocate and change my name!
midcentury
And the reason why I swallowed a fly was because I thought it was rye! So now you know!
mybookbarn
Did you want the rye after eating a pie?
midcentury
No it was for the stye in my eye!
mybookbarn
Did the stye in your eye make you cry?
midcentury
No the only thing that made me cry was swallowing a fly. I mean its a FLY!
Mybookbarn
Did you think you might die from a stye in your eye or from swallowing a fly?
midcentury
You can't die from a stye but I thought the fly might try!
mybookbarn
Why might a fly try to cause you to die?
midcentury
He gave me a reply, it was a sigh!
mybookbarn
Why oh why was his reply a sigh!? Did he lie?
Midcentury
His reply was a sigh because he is shy!
mybookbarn
He may be shy but I bet he was sly!
midcentury
Not only is he shy and sly, he is also very dry
mybookbarn
Shy, sly and dry oh my! Could he also fly high into the sky?
midcentury
He was afraid to fly high, not because he's shy or dry, because he thought he would fry.
mybookbarn
So he wouldn't fly high in the sky to try to not fry! Boy is he wry! What ever happened to the pie?
midcentury
Oh I ate that, the fly said it was good!
So did things get out of hand that day? Or did we just write the long awaited sequel to "The Old Lady Who Swallowed A Fly"?

Into your rhyming brangles
I'd quickly jump in
For that bunny with dangles
And the cute kitty pin!
For the poet in your heart , that's a good place to start!
Mickey too lives in this zoo!
That Dangly Dog won't sit on a log!
That pink cat won't scat!
Chicken, swan or duck, they all bring good luck!
Butterflies flutter, Bunnies hop...Will these rhymes ever stop!?
They do bring a smile more than a frown, but like a turtle they seem to be slowing down!
